Today I am starting to share some facts about INDIA which as an Indian I think everyone should knows.

Daily I will try to share some facts about our country "India", so that everyone can take benefit out of it and they can improve there general knowledge also.

INDIA is the largest democracy in the world. But, you perhaps already know this. However, what you didn’t know are these interesting, some hardcore and few appalling facts about India.

1. The great scriptures of India - including The Vedas and The Upanishads - were written when most developed nations did not even know how to read and write.

2. DIAMONDS were first recognized and mined in India. Until 1896, India was the only source for diamonds to the world, as per the Gemological Institute of America.

3. INDIA has the fourth largest ARMY in the world.

4. As of today, INDIA is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. By 2030, India will become the third largest economy, behind China and the USA, with projected GDP at $30 Trillion.

5. INDIA is one of the fastest growing RETAIL markets in the world. INDIA is one of the top five retail markets in the world by economic value, with the retail industry estimated to be pegged at $450 Billion.
