How do you glance towards these two words from your perspective? Explain!
Ego is when a person believes they are better than others. Itâs based on comparison needing to prove something or to be right all the time. Ego creates distance between people because it makes us focus only on ourselves and our superiority. It often leads to pride, stubbornness, or even hurt feelings when things donât go our way.
Self-confidence, on the other hand, is quiet and calm. Itâs when you believe in yourself without needing to compare or prove anything. A confident person knows their strengths but also accepts their weaknesses. Self-confidence connects you with others because it comes from self-acceptance, not from competition.
Ego says: âIâm always right.â
Self-confidence says: âI trust myself, but I can still learn.â
From my point of view, self-confidence builds inner peace, while ego blocks it.Ego often damages relationships because it stops people from listening, apologizing, or understanding others. It makes a person feel superior or defensive.
On the other hand, self-confidence helps in building stronger relationships because confident people respect othersâ opinions and admit mistakes easily. Confidence builds bridges, while ego builds walls.
person with ego often feels restless because their mind is full of comparisons and competition. But a self-confident person feels peaceful because they focus on growth, not on proving themselves. Confidence is silent power; ego is noisy weakness disguised as strength.
How can we differentiate whether it's ego or self-confidence?
They both are different like with different mindsets.
Ego comes from insecurity. Itâs a shield people wear to hide their fears or weaknesses.
Self-confidence comes from self-awareness. It grows from knowing your abilities and accepting your flaws too.
Ego feels attacked when corrected and tries to defend or argue.Self-confidence listens, learns, and uses feedback to improve.Ego often creates distance in relationships. It makes people feel proud, stubborn, or unwilling to apologize. Such behavior can hurt friendships and teamwork.
But self-confidence brings respect and balance a confident person can admit mistakes and still feel strong. They donât need to win over others; they focus on harmony and understanding.
Ego stops personal growth because it makes you believe you already know everything. It closes the door to improvement. Self-confidence opens that door wider it gives you courage to learn more, try new things, and accept failures as lessons.
Do you believe one we must reject and the other must enforce in our self-improvement? Which one and why?
Yes I believe we must reject ego and enforce self-confidence in our journey of self-improvement.As I discussed above that the Ego blocks growth because it blinds us to our weaknesses.
When a person is full of ego, they stop listening, stop learning, and stop improving. Ego makes us believe that we already know everything, and that mindset closes the door to progress.
A person with ego may look strong from the outside, but inside they are fragile, because their self-worth depends on being praised or superior.
Self-confidence is the foundation of all self-improvement. It gives us courage to try, to fail, and to grow again. A confident person doesnât need to prove anything they focus on learning, not comparing.
Confidence makes us open-minded, humble, and determined. It allows us to believe in our abilities while still respecting others. When we build confidence, we create a peaceful strength that helps us move forward in every area of life studies, relationships, and personal goals.

El ego no es solo la exacerbaciÃŗn de la personalidad, se refiere tambiÊn a la concienciaciÃŗn del "yo" y sus relaciones con todo lo que le rodea. It is only a person with low self esteem that can display egoistic behavior and your words here has explained it all;

Ego is not something we should emulate just like you said it blocks us from learning new things from others and listening to advise from people.
