Your painting depicts in my mind the events after a worldwide catastrophe caused by humanity trying to subjugate nature to its will.
Long before the catastrophe, people looking to the future and foreshadowing something similar began to build underground bunker cities. They had everything to live for a while, and now this time has come. The survivors were placed in bunkers. These are cities underground, where it was strictly impossible to go out without special costumes.
In such bunkers, windows were made, you could look at the sky, and you just had to wait until the trouble passed and everything was over.
