Resolving The Symptoms and Root Causes of Anxiety Part 2 - Quickly Clearing Symptoms With Tapping (EFT)

Today is the part two of this series, inspired by @mountainjewel and the #ihaveanxietytoo tag.
In this vlog, I teach you how to use simple tapping techniques based on EFT to quickly clear the body symptoms of anxiety that can be really debilitating on a daily basis.
If you experience excessive, or even "normal" anxiety and haven't tried this, I am sure that it will really help you.
Now, if you've looked at EFT before, you may have seen that it often follows a rigid process of a "set-up phrase repeated 3 times" then tapping methodically around your body.
There is nothing wrong with this process. However, it can make you wonder if you are doing it right and take your attention away from the real issue.
In the version that I am showing you today, you CAN'T get it wrong!
All you have to do is tap several of the points, which are on your face, body and hands (they are points on the meridian system, also used in accupuncture and accupressure).
While you are doing this, you focus your full attention on the individual symptoms that you are experiencing, feel them fully and then, amazingly, experience them dissolving and flowing naturally out of your body.
The feelings might get stronger for a while as you focus into them. However, this process of fully feeling and then discharging them by tapping works most of the time.
You can either do this all internally or you can voice what they feel like out loud, as I show in the video.
Today, I do this by using metaphors of what the feelings would be like as animals. You can use whatever descriptions feel right to you - size, shape, colour, objects etc. In fact, the more fun you have with this, the more powerful it can be.
Even if the problem you are facing feels very serious, laughter and creativity can be extremely liberating!
Please note, that this is for day to day symptom resolution. It is also possible to find and resolve the root causes of anxiety (or any other symptom) and I will talk about that tomorrow.
Also, if you choose to tap by yourself, you must take full responsibility for your own physical, mental and emotional health. Normally tapping is very gentle and effective. However, it can bring repressed emotions to the surface and this can feel very powerful. If you are in any doubt as to whether to use tapping techniques by yourself, please speak with a qualified practitioner.
