About Spokkz
Spuul was launched in 2012 and since then has been one of the most innovative Video On Demand (VOD) platforms in the world. Spuul has over 60 million users and over 4 million paid subscribers as at the end of March 2018, and was the first platform to allow users and subscribers to download and watch content offline. In December 2017, Spuul acquired Vision Asia, a premier Pay Television service provider in Australia and New Zealand. Following the acquisition, Spuul, combined both VOD and Pay TV and has introduced to market an innovative Hybrid TV product that brings together the best of Pay TV and VOD content called “Spuul+”. This new innovative hybrid product currently has over 180 linear channels and over 1,000 movies, which provides users and subscribers the ability to watch and/or record their favourite content on any digital device they wish.

The SPOOKZ finance platform (https://spokkz.com/) can be used to fund a part or all of a movie, television program and other projects that allow the project platform. Today Spuul (a former student of SPOKKZ) sponsored the content and then "sold" the subscription to his users to be able to view the content.

Shortly after Spuul made the SPOKKZ blockchain, the Spuul community could select and sponsor specific film projects through a new wallet function that would be enabled for all users.

How it works

Private issuance of tokens - Users have to commit upfront for the content they wish to watch and may receive a discount using tokens. Incentives are also provided to funders if the content they pre-fund does well on other platforms.
Community engagement - Users receive rewards in the form of tokens for reviewing, rating and analyzing the content available on the platform. These rewards can later be converted to desired crypto or fiat currencies.

Viral reward token - Users are provided with incentives to share and view content and advertisements in a way that benefits even non-users of the platform.

Content Distribution rewards - The Spuul P2P protocol is used to enable content sharing between users and reward them for it and use tokens to increase the velocity of sharing.

Secure wallet - An ERC20 based wallet is integrated into Spuul’s existing wallet which provides links to exchanges that deal in SPOKKZ allowing users to trade easily.
