What is Gladius?
A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack can bring a website and an online system to its complete destruction in any time. They plans to offer custom-made, distributed anti-DDOS solutions by using untapped computing and storage power. Rather than protection against DDos attack they reduce the content loading times for website by allowing nearest geographic server locations. How it works.
There are different ways that you can approach GLADIUS network,
- Desktop Client – Here you rent out your computers free network bandwidth for rewards in terms of Gladius tokens
- Web Portals – Monitor attacks and bandwidth usage while also gaining insights into your traffic, all from an easy-to-use web portal.
- Network Pool – Here you can choose a network pool that comfortable to you in terms of value and availability.
By these system u can protect and accelerate your web portals and you are under a decentralized system that makes safe your web from any of the DDos attacks.
The pool head makes a smart contract with the website owner and charged accordingly from them for using the services. The same way there have a smart contract with the members of that pool, the payments are distributed to all the pool members according to their contracts. Some percentage is used by GLADIUS to run the project.

Jeremy Epstein, a marketing professional formerly engaged with Sprinklr, lifting it to a $1.8 billion valuation. Joseph Steinberg, a cyber-security thought leader, is listed as an adviser, with possibly an important role, but potentially just giving away his name to the project.

interesting idea but still cant get how this protection will work - some kind anti-attack attack ?
