Hyundai Neptune HDC-6: Supercar Tractor Hydrogen Fuel Battery Of The Future

Hyundai HDC-6 Neptune tractors were introduced by Hyundai Motor, heralding a promising future of hydrogen fuel cell commercial trucks.

Huyndai said the Class 8 tractor, combined with clean energy-cooled trailer containers, adds details to prepare for the widespread deployment of hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Hyundai Neptune HDC-6 , is a development of a Class 8 truck into a sleek, high-tech cargo vehicle with a modern design.

The Hyundai Neptune vehicle provides an operating range in a refueling of about 249 miles (400 km) with a fully loaded trailer. It carries seven large hydrogen tanks with a storage capacity of nearly 77 lbs. (35 kg) hydrogen.

Total combined vehicle weight is 34 tons (30,844 kg). Production is underway and the first trucks will be handed over to customers by early 2020.
