The recent lovely weather is making my plants grow like crazy. It was time to tame them again.
Before tackling the toms I decided to remove the beans; there were no more flowers forming so there wasn't much point in keeping them.
It was pretty easy to remove them and they came off whole, without me having to snip them off into smaller pieces.
This was its last harvest.
Figured it was time to move this volunteer cucamelon.
The old beans bucket was empty for only a few mins as the cucamelon and a pepper were transplanted. I'm not sure if the cucamelon will survive, quite a big part of the root system was broken when I removed it...
And then ... it was time for the harder job, lowering every tomato plant and moving them along their top supports. I've decided to change the direction to clockwise; the other way would have caused them to go into the cucumber's territory and both cucs and toms like ther personal space.
Everything is way airier now, no plant is touching its top support line and I should have about 2 weeks until I need to lower the tallest plants again.
This Sungold is the most vigorous plant I have this season and it really is producing like crazy.
Even the little plant I'm test growing in the tube system is holding up pretty well. Didn't set as many tomatoes but they seem to be growing pretty well.
Thanks for having a look!
