Russia has so much culture! Go to the Peterhof Palace for amazing gardens, fountains, and palaces. Or swing by the Hermitage Museum. Or the Mariinsky Theatre. Or the Neva Yacht Club. Or the Palace Square. Or the Smolny Convent, the Kazan Cathedral, or Saint Isaac’s Square. There are so many things to see! Why are you still reading this?? Start packing your bags!
The Metro
That’s no palace or cathedral. That’s a train station! Can you believe it? Take a ride around Moscow on the Metro subway. And watch out for the crowds. The Metro is one of the world’s busiest! Forget Russian caviar. You’ll feel more like a sardine! But there are a lot of beautiful stations that are a must-see! So go see them!
Kamchatka
What does that even mean? I think it’s Russian for “snowy volcanoes.” Wow! What else is there to say? Isn’t that enticing? Hurry to your local AAA offices to get some great travel rates and beat the crowds. And don’t forget to pack a parka! This isn’t Sochi!
Communism
So maybe communism isn’t doing well in good ol’ Russia these days. But you can still go see some of the Commie legends and landmarks! Lenin’s tomb, the Kremlin, Red Square. How exciting! Did you know that the Lubyanka was the KGB headquarters? Such trivia! You can know all of this too if you would just get on a darn plane already! Go learn all about Soviet communism in Mother Russia, comrade!
Matryoshka Dolls
Aren’t they just the cutest little things? You can find these dolls only in Russia. They’re made by old babushkas and that’s why the dolls are also called babushkas. What’s a babushka? A doll! It’s also a word used for old ladies or grandmothers. Neat! Book your trip right now so you can see babushkas making babushkas that you can bring home for your babushka!
