How to convert your SBD to Nigerian currency(Naira): Yoruba language translation included
Nigeria is blessed with people and resources. This is why we stand tall in many area of life, medicine, technology, scientific breakthrough and others. In recent times, the exposure of Nigerians to steemit.com has been on the increase. The fact that we earn both SP and SBD is a reward many will like to get. Today, I dedicate this writeup to share with my fellow countrymen and people of other countries and steemit at large the way to get their SBD to Naira.
Of course, this is a germane question everyone loves to ask when introduced to steemit. Without much words, I will pictorially describe how I withdrew some dollars from my steemit dollar account. I will show how to convert it to Naira.
(1). You need an account with an exchange either poloniex or Bittrex.
(2). You need an account with an exchange website that can allow you to convert bitcoins to Naira. I will be using Luno. This is because I have an account with them.

I was just doing my regular check up on how members of @redfishpillar project are faring. As soon as I opened your page, I saw this very good post and immediately reblogged/resteemed it to 500 + followers of mine. You have done a very good job, @turpsy. This post deserves more than the payout I saw there before, so I upvoted it with 100% power. I absolutely agree that every Nigerian would at some point need to have an account with an international exchange like poloneix or bittrex (I use bittrex), and of course a local exchange like luno or localbitcoins. However, I think in this case of transferring SBDs from steemit to a local account in Nigeria, bittrex /poloneix could be circumvented. Here's how. Set up an online wallet like exodus (https://www.exodus.io) or jaxx wallet (https://jaxx.io). Note: There is a mobile version of jaxx wallet which would be of great help to millions of Nigerians who use mobile phones. Next thing to do is transfer SBDs directly from your steemit account to bitcoin wallet in either exodus or jaxx. Steem backed dollars (SBDs) can be converted directly to bitcoins using blocktrades, which is the internal exchange for steemit. This blog post (vlog) of mine includes a video which shows step by step how to , https://steemit.com/steemit/@maryfavour/how-to-transfer-steem-backed-dollars-for-fiat-part-1 . Meanwhile, I really like the use of Yoruba language to explain how to get their SBDs exchanged into fiat (Naira). Thank you so much for adding this level of value, which is so unique, to the steemit community. Keep the steem fire burning!!!
Really appreciate your upvote @maryfavour and the opportunity to have your comment on my post. I will check out the stepwise process in your link. I recently uninstalled my jaxx wallet because of security issues they had. Check Here. I have not tried exodus anyway, but I have come accross it. I will look into it. Thank you for mentioning @blocktrades. That will be my point of use in next transactions. Thank you.
good one borda, you took time to explain and it will be very helpful to many
Thank you. I tried my best. I would have love the igbo and hausa translation to be included. I hope someone can do that.
Nice one bro... Thanks for you effort and time, really did a great work with this ... Thumbs up
Thank you, it was a two days job. The translation and uploading took 5hours from my sleeping schedule. But it was worth it.
