Hardfork 18 (HF18) is here and in its bag are goodies for everyone (your definition of goodies doesn't really matter here).

HF18 is so badass that it's dragging along HF17 😒. What a bully!

HF17 was such an unpopular kid in school. He had too many things going on and with all these distractions, everyone found at least one reason not to be cool with him.

He was not the hero the people wanted so badly and so a new hero had to come up.

Well, let me share a quick story (no heroes in this one).

Once upon a time, all I needed to do was wait about 26 hours after my post was published to receive my payout and watch my SP grow.

In these times, majority of my final earnings were always already in within the first hour of publishing the post. The other 25 hours being just a waiting game.

Fast forward into the future (or present, depending on when you get to read this) and we are looking at a much longer waiting period.

It's not that bad, just 7 days!
How prepared are you to to sit this out? That is if "sitting it out" will be a good choice.

What Should You Do While You Wait 7 Days For Your Payout?

• Write another post. ("another" here doesn't necessarily mean "one other post"). If you are the type that averages two posts a day, you should have published about 14 posts before you receive the payout from the first post. How cute 😍.

• Curate. Now I don't think you need to be in a hurry anymore. There will be enough time for you to wander through every possible terrain here on Steemit. Go outside your comfort zone (tags) and explore new territories. Vote on content you find interesting.

• Break Rules. Write a very long post. Post a meme. Maybe a 140 character post. Post a picture with or without a caption. Talk about your dogs. Show off your cats. You don't have to do #fiction because that's where the money is. It's YOUR blog. Do you!

• Share Your Posts. Yes, you should do more of this. Share the links to your posts, and every post you upvote, on all your other social networks. Nothing beats getting the word out. A few people will stumble on this site all by themselves but if they're always seeing "Steemit" everywhere, their interests might just be quite easily piqued.

• Get Some Sleep. This is very important. We do not want you to have a meltdown. Don't sit by your computer monitoring every move your "potential earnings" make. We care a lot about you and we believe in the importance of taking time out to just sleep. Not nap! SLEEP!!! Like completely zone out like a baby. When you do this often, you feel refreshed and stronger.

These are some of the tips you would find useful. Whatever happens, always seek for ways to improve; yourself and the community.

I think i'm starting to work on something in the line of "I Am The Marketing Guy" which, from various DNA tests, has been said to possibly be the cousin of "Be The Change You Want To See". More information will be out once there's something concrete to build on.
