You are right to advise artist to add a Youtube link as a backup, however sometimes some content is exclusive to a Dapp, and each platforms will reward you for it !(not always)
The content usually disappear off the IPFS on dsound and dtube after 7days, however you can store it on your personnal node, it's quite easy to set up with IPFS desktop, but be careful it will use tons of bandwidth ,especially if you have more than a 100 songs/videos stored!
@dlive content is supposed to stay forever, but I am sure it gets difficult to access once the traffic cease on one video

Ah, I see! That's useful to know aswell - it would be great then if those dApps then also actually work.
This then, sounds quite complicated for the simple user. What would you suggest in this case?
