Your ways to deal with annoying people are nice, but it still makes you listen and talk to them.
My way is just to stop communicating with them. Why would I want people I find annoying in my life?
Same with me! I generally avoid them and give them zero-minimal conversation.
If they say something irritating to try and bait a response, simply I say nothing and do nothing. It turns a potential argument into one idiot talking to themselves.
