Last year I was fortunate enough to visit Gaia Hotel and Reserve with my mother. We used our Southwest reward points an flew to San Jose, Costa Rica. We flew to Manuel Antonio on Natural Air to stay at Gaia Hotel & Reserve Adults Only 5-Star Boutique Hotel. Children over 13 welcome.

We arrived to welcome cocktail and Tapa at the Ambar Lounge with the most amazing sunset views. The best part of travel is the experience and the memories you take with you. On this trip we ran into fellow wanderlust travellers from DC area and shared stories over a wonderful dinner at La Luna Restaurant.

Free breakfast is served featuring fresh fruits local to the area.

Costa Rican Breakfast

A delicious “dome” of local, caramelized plantain strips, stuffed with steaming Costa Rican “Gallo Pinto” (black beans & rice in a blend of sautéed onions, sweet peppers & cilantro). Includes 2 eggs any style served with sour cream & corn
tortilla wedges

There's also a spa where we both enjoyed a 30 minutes Spa treatment per person per stay at our Terra Spa.

Since it was rainy season we spent a lot of time in our amazing room. Sleeping on luxe lines that shared a patio offering jungle views.

The next morning we went on a nature tour. The reserve is surrounded by the jungle, located 3 km from Marina Pez Vela and 5 km from Manuel Antonio National Park.

The Macaws were so cute.

GAIA has reintroduction program of the Scarlet Macaw which is government-supervised.
