Someday they'll put
the pitchfork down

original poetry

If you would slash the writer
For the written, would you machete, burn
The grove with which the satyr's smitten?

Would you pulverize
Litter to punish
Industrial giants?
.
Again, the queries (slick transmission)
Sent to those with ears to hear
And stomachs (strong sufficient)
Soldier souls who face, direct, division.

What is understandable?
Is it the common confusion
Of beings trapped in mediocrity?
The pitiable emotion, dank profusion,
Grunge array instrewn with harsh alacrity?
.
The drama, complaints, self-pity blame game,
Victim and oppresser illusion of self-maim?
.
Is it the tangle of the modern language
With jank slang strangling expression
By the insipidity of rank distortion?

Watch a soap opera, see the animals play:
Watch a movie indulled by tired cliche
When the humans wake up?
That'll be the day
They put the
Pitchfork down.
