Skiatook Barn

Nestled in the farmlands outside of Skiatook, a town north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is this delightful barn. It was photographed by Ren of @xcountytravelers just for me! Ren said this property was originally built in 1898 and looks like it has has been kept well through the generations that have come since.

I think this is a particularly beautiful barn and would love to explore it and the surrounding property! I enjoyed processing the photo Ren sent to me in the way I've been processing my Old Barn Project photos lately.

The following aerial photo from BING Maps shows that there is plenty of rural forest and farmlands nearby, and would probably be a very peaceful place to live!

Seven miles north of this gorgeous barn, Ren and Scott took a detour and found this building. I am not sure if it is another barn or an abandoned homestead, but it looks so lovey situated there in that small field!

Nice to see the barn project is still going on and you have even got recruits to help.

That processing of the photos is really neat, great job. I have Oklahoma now as part of my territory, I will have to see if I can locate this farm when I get up that way just for grins.
