RE: THE FIRST WHITE CHICKEN EGG ON OUR HOMESTEAD..... HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

in #homesteading6 years ago

Haha, I know the feeling!
We have had brown egg layers for years. This year I happen to have one leghorn hen, (the only female from a batch of ordered fertile eggs), and when she started laying, the novelty of her white eggs was astounding. The kids collect the eggs, and they LOVED the white eggs almost as much as finding a 'fart' egg, or the rare shell-less egg. ♥

LOL - Ah yes, the rare, shell-less fart eggs!

Haha, those are ultra-rare! :D
