PIERIS RAPAE CATERPILLAR FEAST ON MY ORGANIC GARDEN *How to solve
If you start an organic garden you are for sure to run into pests and issues you wouldn't if you just dumped numerous chemicals and pestisides and used some gmo seeds.
I live in the mountains so I have to grow cold hardy crops like kale, cabbage, lettuce, broccolie, caulifower, Brussel sprouts and others. The Pieris Rapae Caterpillar also known as the cabbage caterpillar or the cabbage white tends to go to town on the Brassica Oleracea family of plants.
Here is a close up shot of one of the greedy grubs.
Here is a black magic kale crop that has been practically destroyed. They lay their eggs on the bottom sides of the leafs and then lay on the viens of the leafs and deviower the leaf when they get hungry.
This is another black magic kale that hasnt gotten hit to bad yet. Thankfully I got some good work done and got them out of the garden with Organic Diatomacheous Earth.
Man, I fight them same caterpillars the same way!

Very interesting @palmerjm1. I just learned about using Organic Diatomacheous Earth this year to safely get rid of insects in and around our home. We live right up against woods, so we have a lot of insects that want to come in the house! LOL. Great post, informative and well done. I love to eat all the things that you grow. Very healthy crops. I live near woods as well and have a very weird climate so lots of wildlife around, DE will work wonders and like you said even can use it in your own home! I will be following you as well as we seem to have similar interests!
I like it because it does not harm children and pets in the home, too, even if they ate it (I was told)
