Product Spotlight Series #13 - Personalized Glass Water Bottle
Another 2018 goal I have is to drink more water because I’m aware that I go through most of my days severely dehydrated. When I’m home, I drink tap water - I’m not fussy about purified or bottled water. But when I’m traveling or staying at my boyfriend’s place (which has terrible tap water), I need an alternative. That’s where a water bottle comes in handy… but I don’t want my water sitting in a plastic bottle! So after a bit of searching, I found this Personalized 18oz Glass Water Bottle with Stainless Steel Lid by DanielleTaylorCo on Etsy!
The water bottle is made from thick, high quality soda lime glass which is lead, cadmium, BPA and phthalates free and has a leak proof, 201-grade stainless steel cap with a food grade silicone O-ring for an air-tight, water-tight seal no matter how you place the bottle. The cute decal on the outside of the bottle is customizable so you can have your name or a short quote added!
I chose this store because it is based in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania USA so it has less distance to travel (and therefore less resources used) to get to me. It’s also one of the less expensive options I’ve seen for glass water bottles - this one is only $14.99 while the one I was looking at from The Package Free shop was 40 dollars! Yikes!
The one concern I have is getting used to the fragility of glass instead of plastic! What if you drop your glass water bottle or handle it a little too roughly in the sink? I wonder if I can find a type of silicone cover for added protection.

We're out and about a lot and with it being such a hot climate I've gotten into the habit of always have my drink bottle with me. We also made the change from plastic, but I with me having a family I decided against glass in the end and got stainless steel ones. It was a good call because they are COVERED in dents now! 😆 They weren't cheap though. I think mine, which is a standard size was about 25AUD and the larger ones were 30AUD.
i have a tall glass vessel that i've used for everything other than water because i'm concerned with it bonking around and breaking in my carry-on! that being said, none of my other glass containers that have been used for food have broken.
Me and my kids use only glass bottles. I agree I am not fussy over bottled water either.

Nope 3 busy kids who are all elite athletes and never a break. Lots LOST but never broken. LOL
I drink mostly from glass bottles. Usually reused sparkling water bottles. My favorite is gerolsteiner. They don't break to easily. I've had a couple break but it was from falling on concrete. I usually haul them around in my lunch box.
We have these exact bottles minus the personalization and after using them for a while we will be buying something else. While they are great in theory the glass is kind of a pain as far as grip goes and it doesn't hold much water. We will eventually be investing in the RITC water bottles that being said we've never broken one so there's that....
