Big day for the little dogs!

Today was full of "firsts" for the puppies. It was overcast but it got up to 64, so we decided to take the puppies on their first car ride! They weren't huge fans of the car, and true to border collie form, they immediately threw up. We took them on goat rounds for the first time.

Then we thought we'd take them to the river for the first time. That was a much bigger hit.

This is Suki, the mama dog. The puppies didn't go in the water; they just got their feet wet.

I thought this would be the perfect post for #friendsday, started by @shasta. Although I'm cheating and tagging two different friends. It was the perfect day for it, so I hope they will forgive me. These next pictures are for @viking-ventures, to remind her of home.

The next few are for @rossfletcher. He is the master of wave pictures! I can't even come close, but I figured he would be amused by my attempts.

The river doesn't naturally have waves, of course, but the Columbia is a major shipping channel, and the huge ships displace a lot of water as they go by. This is a load of wood pulp going from the mill to somewhere east. Thanks for the waves!

All four of the dogs had a great day, except for the car ride part for the puppies. They had slobbered and worse all over each other by the time we got home, so they also got their first bath! They didn't like that part either.

They are now totally unconscious after running up and down the beach for an hour, so the house is mercifully quiet. As a parting shot, here's one I took on the way to the river. This could count as #colorchallenge, I suppose. Thursday green, right?

This was pretty heavy on pictures and short on narrative, but I figured the pictures would speak for themselves.
