This is the 'kalamansi' or Philippine lime. But in Davao, we call it 'lemonsito', which means 'little lemon' for me.

I just picked these 'kalamansi' at our yard. Yes, at the yard from where we are currently living (Saudi Arabia). I think there are only few people here who has kalamansi fruit in their house, surely they are Filipinos. 🙋

My husband brought the seeds all the way from the Philippines just to plant them here. After almost 3 years, we were able to reap the fruits already. We have two kalamansi trees in our yard so it's more than enough to give some to our friends and neighbors. Oh actually, he was able to grow a few seedlings and gave some to our Filipino friends.

Kalamansi has many uses. Most of the time, it is use as a condiment for many dishes. You can make a really refreshing kalamansi juice too, which is my favorite! When I gave birth, I boiled its leaves then put them in the water for my bath. This fruit is very rich in Vitamin C that helps heal my wound from Cesarean operation.

How great it is to have such tree in our own backyard. That is why someday, when we settle down in the Philippines, we plan to also plant a kalamansi tree in our place. So my family can benefit its nutrients. Plus, we don't have to buy them in the market which is really very expensive.

I guess this is all for now fellow Steemians. I am glad you took time to read my post. Thank you so much! Have a great life! ❤

Yes. 😂 We have a ladder but I can't use it in the middle part of the tree. The branches might break. So he offered me a lift. 😂

We love Kalamansi here too. We loved in the Philippines for a while and I got to love them.
Over here there called by the european name of calamondins

The smell and the taste is really good. And here I am Googling 'calamondin'.😂 Yes, it looks like kalamansi too, aside from its orange color.

Lemonsito is a cute name for it. I might use that name someday and see if they get it. 😊 Great harvest. You got a lot.

My husband laughs when I say lemonsito. He is tagalog so he's not used to hearing the name. 😂

It's my first time to know another name other than kalamansi. I'm from Ilocos and we call it kalamansi. 😊 Lemonsito is better. Haha I like your teamwork in harvesting it. Your lemonsito is pretty high. 😁
