bridge.jpegA connection can be a bridge to walk over
A sister can remind hands that they massage
Instead of hit

A wren can know my intimate secrets
Fly away and chatter or just sing of them
A robin nesting in dust might pray her wings to earth
Let us fly through the trestle our times have created
Species different yet connected in the spring

You flit between sprouting sunflowers and
Being a springing plant
You reach your growing head towards the window light

Every spot of life
Everything from mite to fern frond
Is part
Of who we are
We are the ones who write words

They are the ones in the curves and straight lines of our poems
There is a bridge I am too poor to visit
We build a way to come together – take it!

Wren, I am still trying to catch up with all of your kind thoughts on how Minnows can find a sustenance through words. I don't know how you do it. You have this awesome homestead, a vibrant relationship with the earth, a husband, husbandry, and you write a radical blog.

u r great, nice photo
