Building our first farmhouse
It all started in 2015. With the construction of the cheapest basement.
Somewhere I read about the basement of tires and decided to repeat it. We took the most usual tires, stuffed them with clay and sand.
The roof, part of the pillars and part of the floor we collected from 3 meters of pallet (board 90x40cm).
And here we, as we were building the first time in our life, made a fatal mistake. Having built a frame, we began to cover the roof. In our area there was a small hurricane and the newly built house just broke down
My wife and I got a little upset, but we decided to make a second attempt, this time coming to work more competently.
We dismantled the broken frame and began to build everything anew. Fortunately, none of the boards, except for the slops did not break.
The second time things went much faster, especialy using child labor. The roof was mounted and walls was sheeted with the OSB
As soon as the main frame of the house was finished, we urgently set about building the toilet, because we got tired running into the forest with a shovel :)
We also had to do the doors in the house and toilet ourselves, because neither in the ads nor in the shops, there was not a single simple and cheap option.
In general, the price of the question played a significant role for us. 2016 was some kind of cash-strapped, so we tried to save as possible on construction.
Most of Materials were taken free of charge or from sales, some kind of substandard or remnants.
Anyway, the house is suitable for year-round living, was built.
