How to Make Coconut Oil VCO

VCO or Virgin Coconut Oil or a kind of oil that is processed from fresh coconut, different from coconut oil.

As we have seen, there are so many benefits of VCO for the health of the body and also the beauty of the skin and hair.

For health, for example can be used to maintain health and can also cure several diseases. Even VCO is recommended for food support for Keto Diit.

Well, here are the ways to make VCO Pure Coconut Oil at home. Check this out!

1.Choose a coconut that is ripe.
To get good VCO virgin coconut oil, you must choose ripe coconut (not young coconut).

2.Make fresh coconut milk.
We all know how to get fresh coconut milk. This fresh coconut milk is not instant coconut milk.
Fresh coconut milk is very easy to make. Prepare the coconuts, take the meat, grate it, then squeeze it until we get the coconut milk.

3.Coconut milk fermentation
After getting the coconut milk, the next step is fermentation.
The way to ferment coconut milk is to let it sit for 24 to 48 hours.
The recommended temperature is 30 to 40 degrees Celsius.
If the weather is cold, you can put it in an oven with the above temperature (30-40 degrees Celsius).
From the results of the fermentation, there are water deposits in the bottom and curds begin to form at the top.
A thin layer of coconut oil is formed between the two.

4.Separating water from oil and curd
The next step is to separate water from oil and curd. This is the hard part.

There are several methods to do this step. But the easiest step is to freeze for 3-4 hours (until the oil and curd are frozen).
With this process, we can separate water from oil and curd.

5.Separate the curd from the oil
The first thing we need to do before separating the buttermilk from the oil is heating it.

Heat at a temperature of 40-70 degrees Celsius for 10-15 minutes. After that, let it stand until the temperature returns to normal. When the temperature is normal, oil and some solids will separate.

After that, strain the oil and curd with a cloth. Oil and curd will also separate.
The stages are complete!

From the size of a standard coconut, you can make 3-5 tablespoons (tablespoons) of VCO oil.
