Gardening & Homesteading Journal - Week 4: February 18 - February 24
This week was very...wet. It rained and rained and rained. As a matter of fact, after adding up my records...we got 16.3 inches of rain just this week alone. That's a lot of rain!
With all those nasty days, you can imagine I was happy to go outside on the nice days. On one of those nice days our son did his senior pictures with @jasonrussell and @melodyrussell. They take amazing photos all the time. I can't wait to see what they got! I grabbed this photo while Melody was taking a photo of Toby. (Isn't her hair gorgeous ??)
Here are my journal entries for the week:
Really, not much happened this past week because of all the rain. I did get a lot of bracelets made though...so I'm going to shamelessly plug my Etsy shop right now...
Check out the new bracelets at Stoned Hill Creations.
Enough of that. Thanks for stopping by!!!
Week One: January 28 - February 3
Week Two: February 4 - February 10
Week Three: February 11 - February 17
Enjoying your journey. I like to bath in the rain
This was a very cold rain. No bathing in that. Haha! Thanks, @hanif09!
It sure was wet... and it definitely didn't dry out as much as it need to, before it rained again today. We have one soupy yard.
So do we. Sean had to dig some small trenches to get parts of the field to drain. It's been nuts!
the rain totally slows you down in certain areas, which encourages focus in other areas!i'm trying to find the silver lining, day after day - we're finally seeing the sun again after many rainy/snowy days.
once the ground actually warms up, i feel like i'll just jump in head first. which could be dangerous. >.< LOL
Steemit is going to explode when spring hits!
i was thinking the same thing today! it's above 50F for possibly the first time this year!!!!!
Being trapped inside by too much wet can be nerve-wracking. Good on you for making bracelets and updating the journal!
Thanks, @aunt-deb! There were a few stir-crazy days in there...there was literally nothing going on but rain.
Every time I look at these, it makes me want to start journaling. I love the way you format it and it’s going to be so neat to look back on. We had a great time taking Toby’s pictures! He was so much fun and it’s crazy that he’s a young man now! I think we’re just about caught up on all of our other sets so we’ll start working on his very soon 😁
Thanks a bunch, @melodyrussell! I can't wait to see the finished ones!
Is that 16.3 inches for your week or year? I do not keep track of our rain fall. The grass is starting to green up here from all the rain, higher temps, and sun shine. Love
