RE: HOLLER OUT Tuesday: Homesteaders On Steemit & Some Surprises For Those Mentioned Today
I'm honored and humbled and amazed all in the same time! I really wish I could write a lengthy thank-you note, however the pool of chicken broth on the bathroom floor seems to be creeping out and I just have to intervene. (don't ask)
Is anything required of me, other than my eternal gratitude? If I could choose a post for upvoting, I'd go with my Asparagus or Cuttings tutorial. Thanks!
You know.. I have to ask... chicken broth... bathroom floor... odd combination!
And you're welcome! Welcome to steemit and the homesteadersonline!
OK here goes. Our little girl loves to play "cooking". Usually that's contained to putting some odd bits and pieces in a plate and bringing it to someone to "have a bite". However, at special occasions (each time we don't keep a close eye), it's soup time.
That means a cup or a small pot of water, stirred with legos, beads, seeds, small river stones, whathaveyou, that's being "fed" to an assortment of animal toys with a spoon.
Knowing the... irrigating nature of this game, we encourage it to be played in the bathroom. At very special times, like a few days ago, both the wife and me are busy, while our girl is given a mug of warm tea or broth to drink with piece of bread, like a light breakfast.
Then it's all no holds barred. It's broth bath for the animals, "swimmy-swimmy" for the dolls, you get the picture!
As Neil Armstrong (should have) said: It's a small game for children, but a giant chore for humanity! :D
OMGosh! Priceless!
What a mess! I sure don't miss those days of the kids when they were little creating messes! Now I just have to pick up after my husband- although.. there are times when he can produce a bigger mess than a toddler!
