When buying a bunch of thin pieces of moulding or trim, bring or buy a 2x4 and a roll of cellophane wrap.

Wrap the small diameter stock into a bundle. Then wrap that bundle to the 2x4. Attach a red flag if your locality requires one. Lastly secure the bundle to your vehicle.

You will find that your small stock is not as easily lost or broken, and that a bundle is easier to carry than loose stock.

Thank you and keep tinkering on.

Nice life hack! This will keep the small stuff from harm during transport. Besides, extra 2 X 4's are always useful.
