The beeswax pastilles are just little pellets of beeswax. I buy mine online, something like this. (This isnt the specific one I bought, but you get the idea.

Lard is actually rendered pig fat. You basically take the raw fat from pork, melt it down on low heat and take the liquid and put it into jars. It is useful for cooking, of course, but I also like to use it for homemade lotions and deodorants, as it is very nourishing for the skin. :D
