The April HODL Challenge - Week 4
Do these markets make your head spin?
Being 'back' in crypto for the past 5 months has taught me......Always remember that it goes up and down, consistently. Never get too comfortable thinking you are in a bull market and don't fall for the FUD of a bear market.
After what seemed like weeks of being in the green, today the crypto markets saw a pullback when most of the top currencies saw a double digit loss in percentage. Shocking right?
All the news around the markets has been great but alas...It's the crypto markets. They make zero sense. Just make sure you have your seat belt fastened and enjoy the ride.
However....One project seemed to be in the green today and that's our favorite token of the blockchains - STEEM
At 1 pm Eastern time, we see STEEM sitting pretty at $3.55 per token.

Not bad right?
A nice 3.84% gain while the rest of the crypto space seems to have pulled back today after weeks of what looked like a bull run.
Does that mean STEEM is immune to the markets and will continue to rise? I wouldn't bet the house on it, but I do bet on things I can actually use and again, that's why projects like this blockchain have my attention and focus!
If we take the 54 tokens we had on April 1st and each of them are $3.55...We're at $191.70.
Up from last week's total of $158.76.
Remember we started April 1st with $100 invested which bought us 54 STEEM tokens and we're holding....And will continue to hold!
Not bad at all :)
Still, this is a crypto currency so who knows where it will be at the end of the month....
Regardless though, one can't help but feel hopeful. There are so many new projects popping up on the STEEM blockchain and the news has been very positive. Combine that with a general 'good feeling' in the markets and I'm not too worried about this pull back today.
We will see!
Looking for the next to jump from 3 bucks to 300 is what excites me about crypto. Loving the content man.
Yessir. but be prepared for it to go to $1 too LOL You just never know.
I am all over Steem and BNB here in a few days. Got faith in those two and going to be reexamining another utility coin, STORJ.

You and me both. Binance and Steem just make sense to me. I'm not that smart, so I like things that are usable NOW, not 3 years down the road lol
seriously this market is giving a heart attack to traders many innocent traders have got trapped . whales are manipulating it like hell :)
Yeah and people should look at the use of tokens instead of the hype around them. Strong hands will never fold :)
I love seeing the crazy predictions from people saying $30 a token back in November and December!
I think these people lose all credibility after that lol!
Hopefully we'll keep the gains coming and get back to $8 a coin by the end of the year!

Agreed. People saying STEEM will be $100....If it happens, great. But I'm not too worried about that. I'm enjoying the ride right now and learning everything I can in the process. Appreciate the comments, follow and upvote, thanks!
Throughout our HODL adventure, one thing has been blatantly obvious - the market WILL change! :)
Some of our choices wern't eactly setting the market on fire at the time, but have continued to grow and develop. Which, by the way, is why you "HODL" in the first place - hold for possible future gain.
Steem is a solid choice, one that offers a base of development to remain viable over time. Will it be the next 'big' coin? Who knows? I do know that I will be moving into a better position with it as I utilize this platform more. That, in itself, is a 'win' for me!
This journey so far has been enlightening, and I look forward to where we head in the coming months. Let's rock this Challenge, and see where it may lead.
Agreed. Will STEEM ever have the brand and hype that Bitcoin does? I doubt it, but it doesn't have to have it to be a massively valuable blockchain. And that's what is so exciting about this project....This community and potential alone, is worth a serious look.

Great news about Steem and most people on Steemit don't even fully understand or are using it yet, myself being one, I'm looking forward to the future of steemit and actually getting a better understanding of its use.
