Custom Figurines - Female Basketball Players - Part 3 FINISH
Ok, I lured you here by reading Parts 1 https://steemit.com/hobby/@bigskycustoms/custom-figurines-female-basketball-player-part-1
and 2: https://steemit.com/hobby/@bigskycustoms/custom-figurines-female-basketball-player-part-2
So now the finished photos of the two completed figures.
Veronica Shaw - Mountain Pointe Pride
Roni "The Rocket" Shaw - San Diego State University
Roni lives in Texas and I mailed these to her after I finished them last week. She recieved them and loved them and here is a picture of her with both.
A 3 part post about these might be a bit long, hope the few who look at these enjoyed my description of the processes I go through to create a female figurine from a male base figure. They are much more work to complete and make look correct so I enjoy seeing the final product. Again, please provide any feedback you feel like, I enjoy reading comments.
thanks!
These turned out great, you do good work with a remarkable attention to detail.
Thank you very much! I appreciate that.
These turned out great. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, appreciate the support and the upvotes!
Thank you so much for posting this! I had no idea it was such an involved process, but I guess it makes sense that you wouldn't have a lot of African-American female figurines in the right scale and poses to work with. The process of converting the male basketball players was really cool to see, and your finished result is awesome! She looks so happy with them! Great work!
Thanks for prompting me, I was meaning to do a post like this but i just finished these last week so I wanted to wait until I got them done and the picture from the customer with them. That is the best part of these hobby/side business, the customers reaction. I only work with people who order for themselves or family, they mean way more than people who just order some random professional player or something. I somehow found a niche doing female basketball also, but I do the 4 major sports. Mostly high school or college or semi-pro players.
As I start to get more interest in these, I will likely post more, I have made hundreds, been doing this for the past 13 years. I think I talked about it in one of my very early posts on here a couple months ago. Were the many upvotes I got on the Part 2 related to you? thanks for that.
Yeah I upvoted parts one and two with two of my curation accounts, @humanbot for part 1 and @r-bot for part two, both have pretty large vote trails. Very happy to support this posting, I think it is super cool :)
thanks, I would have upvoted your responnses but I am low on voting power so am letting it build back up.
Yeah, Part 1 got a LOT of votes and $$, not so much Parts 2 and 3 so not sure where all those people came from. But very happy about it. :)
Carl, I just posted a new custom figure, a hockey player. just giving you a heads up since you asked me to let you know. Thanks
These look really good, guessing the female figures are a bit more time intensive eh? either way she looks pretty happy, nice post series!
Females are way more work and this gal was very exacting in what she wanted and her hair was a real challenge. But she loved them both.
I used up all my voting power posting those and the beer posts so I am down in the low 60s, i will upvote you tomorrow.
