Optical level.
A tool or a working tool is such a general concept that it is easy to get lost here lol.
But in fact wherever you go in search of a tool you will find it everywhere.
Yes, for example, for a violinist a working tool will be a violin, for a plumber an adjustable wrench is best suited and a fisherman is sure that the best tool is a good spinning rod with a shaman reel.
As life goes on our tools are improved and we master the skills of working with them.
For example in childhood. we used a plastic shovel in the sandbox as a tool and later we took a real shovel in our hands and dug up our garden.
Tools can be hand-held stationary which cannot be lifted, electronic and analog mechanical and optical I have already spoken about musical instruments and the list can begin with a heavy club with which people once got food for themselves since arrows and gunpowder were invented.
Today I want to share several photos of an optical device, analog, without electronic components, which is one of the working tools of surveyors and this device is called a level.
With the help of this device surveyors specialists who build cartographic landscapes on paper indicating the heights above sea level and the geographic coordinates of certain points on the ground.
And the level just determines the difference in heights, allowing you to build accurate horizontals for example for building a house foundation.
But the level is also suitable for smaller-scale work for example for determining the vertical of walls and other planes.
More than thirty years ago while studying at the university and undergoing geodetic practice I had to work with exactly such a device.
It is surprising that in our time my children use the same, seemingly morally obsolete device at the university and not ultra-modern laser levels.
Apparently the professors know something lol and perhaps one day people will not be able to charge the battery for the laser level and this can be confirmed by the blackout in Europe in such a situation if it is necessary to make measurements and calculations only an optical level can help.

Estoy realmente fascinada con ese "nivel" de uso topográfico. Las fotografías son muy buenas y la presencia del Sr. Caracol me hizo sonreír.
Geodesy is one of those fields that absolutely does not tolerate haste, and I think that the snail looks authentic in this regard :)
