The HIVE Token and the Great STEEM Heist

The illusion of revolution can be so intoxicating! You find yourself in the middle of so much change. But that's the problem, you're in the middle of it and cannot see yourself from the outside.

What's the goal behind the HIVE token? What's the motivation, the ambition, the hope, the strategy? Well, for the dozens of people in the middle of this euphoric HIVE movement - maybe a few hundred (if you're generous and optimistic) - it is the hope that thousands of Steemians will get swept up in the adrenaline rush of the "changing times" and dump their STEEM to pump their HIVE.

You see, HIVE has very little capital to actually fund this pollyannaish revolution. So the HIVE High Council points its mighty finger at Justin Sun, and denounces his alleged intentions to dump his STEEM in order to pump his TRON, all the while they are doing exactly that - dumping STEEM to pump HIVE! In esoteric psychology, this is the concept of projecting your inner-demons onto others. Whereas, in the world of illusionist magic, this is known as distracting you with the right hand so that you can't see what the left hand is doing.

So not only did the HIVE High Council freeze certain accounts to manipulate the voting system, but they also froze those accounts to prevent HIVE tokens from being dumped! I imagine the HIVE nightmare that keeps the HIVE High Council awake at night, is whether Steemians might ban together and dump their HIVE tokens and get some free STEEM! Hey, who doesn't love free money! Of course, there is also the possibility that another Sleeping STEEM Whale, with itchy, greedy fingers, might wake up and say, "Did somebody say free money?!"

But don't worry too much, a bit of melatonin, some valerian root and a warm cup of chamomile tea can help you with that insomnia. And if that doesn't work, well hey, just do another hardfork, and freeze more accounts!
