World of Cricket Contest Series | Contest - 1 :: My Most Favorite World Cup Memories
In Asia cricket is a popular game. So, Cricket is my favorite game. Every afternoon I play cricket with my friends. I am watching the cricket world cup from 2007. From then I didn't miss any world cup. I watched every world cup since 2007. There are many unforgettable memories of world cups. Some memories make me emotional. I am sharing my memories.
I am consistently sharing my best memories from the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
ICC cricket world cup 2007
Favorite memories:
2007 world cup took place in the West Indies. Team Australia own the 2007 world cup.
The best memory of this World Cup was the India vs Bangladesh match. Giant opponent India also lost to Bangladesh with their strong lineup. No one could have imagined that India can lose. Indian fans can not forget this match, It was the darkest day in the history of Indian cricket. On the other hand, this is a great victory in Bangladeshi cricket history. In that match, Bangladesh cricket got some talented players like Shakib-Al-Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal. Everyone made a half-century in that match. Bangladeshi fans celebrated that day by waving the flag. Score - India 191/10 (49.3 overs) , Bangladesh 192/5 (48.3 overs).
Another best memory was Pakistan vs Ireland match. Ireland pulled another greatest shock in 2007 world cup. They beat Pakistan and knocked out Pakistan from the group stage.
3rd best memory was Malinga's 4 wickets in 4 bowls. Tough Srilanka couldn't win the match but Malinga was exceptional on that day.

Favorite memories:
2011 world cup took place in Asia. India, Bangladesh and Srilanka, World Cup matches were held in these 3 countries. India owns the 2011 world cup.
Most favorite memories was the Ireland vs England match. Ireland beat England in that match and it was a great world cup shocks in the world cup history. Kevin O'Brien shocked England with the fastest century in the history of world cup cricket. Ireland chased down the huge target of 328 by keeping 3 wickets and 5 bowls remaining. Score: England 327/8 (50 overs) , Ireland 329/7 (49.1 overs).
Another Favorite memory was Bangladesh vs England match. Again Bangladesh. Bangladesh beat England in that match. It was a historic win against England. England batted first and they made just 225 runs by losing all wickets. Bangladesh won the match by losing 8 wickets and 2 balls remaining.

Favorite memories:
2015 world cup was jointly hosted by Australia and Newzealand. Australia was the winner of this world cup.
Bangladesh won again in the world cup against England and reached Quarter Final for the 1st time. Score - Bangladesh 275/7, England 260/10, Bangladesh won by 15 runs.
Mahmudullah becomes the 1st Bangladeshi Batsman to score a world cup century. He also becomes the 1st Batsman to score 2 consecutive centuries in the world cup for Bangladesh.
Rubel's last delivery against England. He bowled James Anderson and Confirmed the victory of Bangladesh.
Kane Williamson pulled off a spectacular win by hitting a six against Australia in the group stage. Score: Australia 151/10 (32.2 overs), Newzealand 152/9 (23.1 overs). Newzealand won by 1 wicket.

Favorite memories:
Shakib Al Hasan became the 1st player to score 600+ runs and take 10 wickets in one world cup. He also became the only player in the history of world cricket to score more than 1000 runs and also take more than 30 wickets in world cup matches.
Eion Morgan smashed 17 sixes against Afghanistan. It was a record of most sixes in an innings in the history of world cup cricket.
Bangladesh vs West Indies match. Bangladesh chased down a huge total of 321. It was the highest successful run chase against West Indies in the world cup history.
Newzealand vs England final match. It was the most thrilling final in the history of the world cup. The two teams were tied in 241 runs in 50 overs and the match went in super overs. It was 1st time in the world cup final that the match went to super over for a result and the super over was also a tie. At last, England won the match on boundary countback rule. England scored 26 boundaries and Newzealand scored 17 boundaries. Score - Newzealand 241/8 (50 overs), England 241 (50 overs).
Super over score - England 15/0, Newzealand 15/1, England won on boundary count.

When I read this I also remembered those matches. The Bd team has done, some great effects, throughout the time. In 2007, 2011 the Sri Lankan team lost the finals. But those memories will be forever with us
Yeah, Srilanka played exceptionally well in every world cup. I am also a fan of Sri Lankan cricket. I missed to share the memory of Sangakkara"s 4 consecutive centuries in the world cup 2015, I missed this memory to share in my post. He is a living legend. The world cricket is missing him.
Yeah, he is a player who came such a long way, completely through dedication. He was a failure and hated by Sri Lankans also in his early carrier. But now it's hard to find someone who hates him

All in all, the 2015 World Cup has given Bangladesh team two hands full. They played in the knock-out stage for the first time in history. Undoubtedly we can say that 2015 is the best world cup they have ever played.
