Introduction and contribution to the B&W photocontest

First of all I would like to make a quick introduction.

I am more or less active in Steemit since about a year ago, I live in the Balearic Islands, near the Levantine coast of the Iberian Peninsula. I feel 100% Mediterranean. I have been working as a photographer for 30 years and I feel privileged to be able to make a living out of what for me is a passion.

I recently discovered this community and after a couple of days watching the activity I decided to participate in the black and white photography contest organized by @life.pics.

The photograph I'm submitting to the contest is of the Faro de Botafoc, the lighthouse that presides over the entrance to the bay and harbour of Ibiza. It is an emblematic lighthouse whose history dates back to the late nineteenth century. The image was taken on a day of light rain and I used a neutral density filter to lower the exposure time and the sea water and clouds had that silky effect. The camera was mounted on a tripod.

The image can not be @ steemexclusive because due to my work, it had been published in a commercial web.
