Greetings to you all dear friends ,

From the Republic of Uganda 🇺🇬 (East Africa). The African country gifted with lots of local sweet food. It's a pleasure to be with you all and take part in this amazing contest organized by @mirco.snt. This is so exciting to share with you all about my local food caller Matooke. Others may call it bananas. But course it's not the yellow bananas most of you guys know!!

In the photo above, these are suckers of bananas (seeds) ready to be planted. They usually take just 6 months to grow up to reach to this stage 👇

That's how they appear to be grown up and ready to be eaten as food and for market.

At that stage, our bananas are pilled off the green covers and then wrapped the white reminder into the banana leaves and then put into pan added with some reasonable water.

• Boil or cook for at least one hour.

• After one hour, remove the covers and see if they have turned into yellowish in colour.

• If turned into yellowish, remove it from the burning stove and pour the remaining water.

• Then you can use a spine to mingle it until it becomes one soft substance.

• Then you can serve our bananas to your family with any desired soup just like mine with beef 👇 👇

In Uganda, this is the most common local food being grown and served to families. It is so sweet and yummy 😋, and even it's very easier to be grown due to the good climate that we have.

I believe if one tastes this meal, will never look back because it's so sweet, contains starch and reach in carbohydrates and vitamins.
