A Sentence

A sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought or meaning. A sentence must have a subject and a verb before it can be meaningful. An example of a sentence is I am a boy, here we have I which is acting as the subject and am which acts as the auxilliary verb here.

Types Of Sentence

We have 4 types of sentence. We have

  • Declarative Sentence
  • Interrogative sentence
  • Imperative Sentence
  • Exclamatory Sentence
Lets take them one by one and explain

Declarative Sentence

A declarative sentence is a group of words that tell us information about something. It usually ends with a period. Example , People from China like eating rice. In the example given, it gives us information about a particular subject.

Interogative Sentence

Interrogative sentence is a group of words that are used to ask questions (?). They usually end with a question mark. They also use the WH- words like Who, What, Where, How, Why Example, How are you ?, Who are you ? What are you eating ? .

Imperative Sentence

These are groups of words that are used to give commands or ask for request. They usually end with period (.) or exclamation mark(!). Example, Please keep quite, Go out!

Exclamatory Sentence

These are groups of words that are used to express emotions or strong feelings. They usually end with exclamation mark (!). For example, Steemit is so wonderful! , It is a beautiful brand new day !

Sentence Structure

Now that we have been able to explain the types of sentences lets take a look at the sentence structure. We have 3 types of sentence structures. We have ,

  • Simple Sentence
  • Compound Sentence
  • Complex Sentence

Simple Sentence

A simple sentence is a sentence that has just one independent clause. A clause here simply means a group of sentence that contains a subject and verb. We shall be treating clauses into details in our subsequent lessons so no need to worry.
Some examples of simple sentences include,

  • I hate Mondays.
  • I walk every morning.
  • I eat everyday.

Compound Sentences

A compound sentence is a group of sentence that have two or more independent clauses that are linked with a coordinating conjunction. Also when one also joins two simple sentences together, they become a compound sentence. Conjunctions will also be treated by my colleague in his lectures but just for your consumption, you can always try to memorize the acronym FANBOYS which are the coordinating conjunction that are used in compund sentence. FANBOYS simply means FOR, AND, NOR, BUT, OR, YET, SO. For example, Kofi took the chair and he sat on it.
He came inside but no one saw him.

Complex Sentence

A complex sentence is a group of words that have a independent clause (complete thought) and a dependent clause (incomplete thought). For example,
When he came in, everyone kept quite.

In the sentence above When he came in is the dependent clause which doesnt give any meaning. Everyone kept quite is an independent clause which has a meaning. So the dependent needs the independent clause in order to make meaning. If such a case happens then a complex sentence is formed.

You cannot use the club5050 tag because your withdrawals are higher relative to withdrawals from the wallet.

You can use club5050 only if you have increased the power of Steem in the last 7 days, by an amount equal to or greater than withdrawals / transfers.

Hello dear, I used the club5050 because it was a start of the week and this was my first earning I had to for the week with was 2sbd which I converted and used all. The one which was transferred was done 7 days back. This is a fresh week so I presume I can use it because I have powered up all my funds I got from a post. The rest are still not paid out

You can use club5050 only if you have increased the power of Steem in the last 7 days, by an amount equal to or greater than withdrawals / transfers.

Yes I agree. Check well and that transfer was made 8 days ago. Don’t I still have the right ?

At the time of my review it did not meet the club5050 rules. It can be compared with the captures that you and I attached!

I believe club5050 talks about powering up 50% or more of your weekly earnings.

For instance, i power up in the last 7 days because i earned 10SBD and power up 5SBD or more, thats it for that week, now i have to wait to for 7 days again before i power up my weekly earnings again.

Basically, if you power up on Monday then you’d have to be committed on powering up on mondays

So once you are committed to this, you’ll realise that at any point in time you have powered up 50% or more of your earnings.

Yes, but during those 7 days you cannot withdraw more than what you had lit!

As long as it is less, what we withdraw is fine

It is important to check in the market how much the SBD that we withdraw makes to compare
