Greetings, Steemians a wonderful day! I'm grateful to the organizers of this incredible contest, @Ihorgic and @steem.skillshare, for bringing together such a fun and engaging challenge for us to share our thoughts and views about love.

My man took me by storm and left me like cyclone Odette...DEVASTATED!

On Valentine's Day, he walked up to our office carrying a bouquet of long-stemmed yellow roses, handed it to me, and said our date was at 7:30 p.m. I was surprised because we didn't know each other. I thought it was a hoax, but it's all true. He planned everything, possibly because he believes he won't last long in this world. That was the start of our complicated Love Story, which ended with his death after only a short time.

LOVE MEANS...

Love is the force that brings us to life, and it is what makes us who we are. Love enters the soul of each individual and emerges as their passions in whatever fires their interest and drive, just as sunlight enters raindrops and emerges as rainbows. It is through this process that we discover our truth and purpose. It's the way we share ourselves with others. Some refer to it as "enthralled," whereas I refer to it as "love." Because being alone has an emptiness to it, and being caught in that divine spell has a liberation to it. Love is solid and forgiving, yet it is more like a wise mother than a chained servant.

With the wisdom of the heart and a sense of the other's soul, love listens and communicates. We have our "permanent home" in love, and it allows us to fly so freely, gladly returning when the other's heart calls for connection. Love is sweet, but not as sweet as candy or confectionery. Love is colorful, but not as bright as neon lights. This gift from the cosmos, this sweet longing to the man I was born to find, love is such magic. Because my twin soul, the only other born in the same flame as me, and I can bathe each other in warmth and light as effortlessly as we breathe, immune to and oblivious to darkness.

Kindness, thoughtful activities, honesty, integrity, and self-sacrifice are all examples of love. True passion is not the same as lust - a fleeting gratification for the 'hungry ghost' spirit - and can be found within that notion of love. Remember, even in your slim years, you'll have more love than your heart can hold. There's a reason why love is imperceptible to all but our minds. We haven't progressed far enough to be trusted with such knowledge. We'd try to engineer it, change it, use it, destroy it. But the power of love will always be greater than any other, and the keys to reality will only be granted to true learners of the one and only master.

After all, love is immortal and transcends time, space, and even death. Love is the greatest wonder of our time, despite its weightlessness and invisibility. The poet beautifies love and elevates it, yet this very pedestal can sometimes lead to romantic illusions that are too far out of reach for everyday life.

Love is free, never possessive or jealous, always gentle, never aiming to harm or control. Love is our rock, and this is where "the wise man builds his house." The power of love brings hope, but the steps toward love can be painful, and the steps toward loneliness are comforting in their familiarity. That is why there is no truer language than love's language and no stronger power than love's power - that is LOVE.
