Magnetic Pole Shift | Troubling Numbers

The magnetic shield protects us from solar radiation. In 1859, there was a solar fluctuation called the Carrington Event. It ignited the sky so that one could sit outside and read a book at midnight. It happened when the shield was at full strength. Over the next 100 years, the field strength dropped by five percent. At 150 years after the event (2010), the field strength had dropped by 15 percent. The fear is that when our shield begins to drop it will be very dramatic.
