Does your phone camera maga pixel really determines the quality of pictures that will be taking with your phone??
Can you answer this question?.

Well,I will tell you.

Virtually everyone of us here will rather go for a phone camera with higher mega pixel and we tend to judge the camera quality of a phone base solely on the megapixel.....but truth is that the magapixel doesn't determine the quality of the photo that the camera will produce.

We can't blame our self for thinking this way as this is what the manufacturer of phones always make sure to hammer on as the main determinate of camera quality and the quality of photo that the camera will produce.

What really determines the quality of a camera and the quality of pictures that the camera will produce is the Pixel quality!

Yeah,the pixel quality is the major factor that determines the quality of photo that will be taking by your phone.

Yes both aforementioned things are important but they perform different roles...let's have a brief discussion about pixel quality and megapixel.

MEGA PIXEL is the quantity of picture that can be taking with your phone camera,in order words,it represents the peak or highest level of possible photo resolution that can be taking with your phone camera.

The megapixel major role is to take note of important and simple detail in a photo and then store them up in the photo making it visible and clear, these details is the quantity we are taking about here.

While on the other hand

PIXEL QUALITY determines and represent the quality of photo that can be taking with your phone camera,the higher the pixel quality,the higher the quality of the photo that can be taking.

A phone of 6 or 12 mega pixel with higher pixel quality can produce a better photo than a phone with 42 megapixel with low pixel quality.

So should we say that the manufacturers of these phones are misleading the public by always dispicting megapixel as the main determinate of camera and photo quality??
Well my answer is YES!

The only scenerio where a phone camera with high megapixel is needed is when a photo is to be shot with a mobile phone and the user intends to print out a physical copy of the picture,then a phone with higher megapixel is of greater important as it makes sure to take note of simple and important details on the photo when zoomed.

Other factors that also determines and contributes to picture quality in a phone camera are
•size of the sensor
•camera lens
•image processor
•photosite area.

In summary,when next you are purchasing a new phone and you want a phone with good camera then focus on the pixel quality and don't be carried away by the high magapixel.
