Science is much vast than we think. It never ends. Whenever the last chapter of science and technology ends there's always a new and improved one. So it's necessary for everyone around the globe to learn it with passion, aggression and enthusiasm. Because without science we are nothing, specially in the coming era. That is going to be much tougher than this and obviously more competitive.

Last time we have learned about the topic Temperature that what it actually is and how it's worth studying whenever the matter comes to science. Now coming back to today's post which is about the Conduction. This is also a worth learning topic of science and is related to many scientific facts as well.

So in this post we will see that what the conduction is and how it is related to the temperature.

CONDUCTION ♨️

Let's suppose we put a spoon 🥄 which is made of steel in a hot boiled water and we will feel that the end of the spoon we're holding starting getting hot as well. Why? Because of the conduction. But if the same spoon is made of a wood then we will see that the other end of the spoon is not getting hot. Because the wood we're holding is not a conductor of heat. And heat cannot pass through the wood but from the steel, iron or other metals.

The steel, iron and metals are the good conductors of heat and they produced conduction very well. Hence the heat passes through them easily but the wood, rubber or plastic is not a conductor of heat hence they cannot produce conduction whenever heat merge in them. They burn in this case.

We have pans in our homes, you can see that all the pan is made of pure metal but the handle of it is made of wood or plastic. Why is so? Because if the handle is also of metal then heat will pass through it easily and we would not be able to hold it as it gets hot, very hot. That's why the handles are made of wood or plastic so that heat will remain out of handle and we can hold it easily while cooking something.

Heat always transfer from the hot side of cold side of the metals. And this is because of the atoms in it that are vibrating continually. When heat approaches one end of the metal then the atoms in it started vibrating and covered the path to the other end that's why the other end is started getting heated slowly slowly.

So let's see the definition of the conduction;

"Conduction of heat is that when heat transfer by the vibrating atoms from one end of metal to the other end."

The metals which allows the heat to pass through it are known as good conductors while the metals that doesn't allow the heat to pass through it easily are known as bad conductors of heat..
