The topic we are discussing today is about the Artificial Satellites. Yes it is very interesting and useful topic to learn about. It's also necessary to understand that how we are taking the help from these artificial satellites in our daily lives.

Artificial Satellites 🛰️

First of all we need to know that what a satellite actually is, so here is the definition of the satellite;

"A body or an object that usually revolves around any planet is known as a satellite"

Like our moon, we all know that our moon is revolving around the Earth so moon the satellite of the planet Earth. As moon is not man made, it is not artificial that's why moon is known as the Natural Satellite of our planet.

Now come to the artificial satellites. The scientists have sent and still are sending the many objects is upper space. These objects started revolving around the Earth hence they are known as artificial satellites.

We use most of the artificial satellites for the purpose of communications. For example the live matches or news that we watch on television is all because of the artificial satellites around the Earth. The astronauts who go to space for the purpose of different missions are carried by these satellites also. All satellites are not only in one place they are sent in different orbits around our planet earth so that the coverage we're using nowadays would be more stronger and better. Every satellite has it's own design and development services that's why they take different spans of time to complete their orbits or revolutions around the planet.

The satellites that are being used for the purpose of communications, complete their one revolution around the Earth in almost 24 hours which is equal to one complete day. This is so because the spinning time of Earth round its axis is also 24 hours which completes a day. These satellites have the orbits which is mostly called geostationary orbits. Here Geo means the Earth 🌎
