Scribe is now Steemcryptic | Single Home for All Tools | Steemcryptic V 3.0.0 Released

in Best of India3 years ago

Hey guys. So, last week I had announced that I would be making some big changes to Scribe. I have now finally deployed its new version. However, moving forward, all my tools would be part of the Steemcryptic domain. You can currently access all my tools by heading over to https://www.steemcryptic.me.

Changes Made and the Intent:

The Main Interface of Steemcryptic

Previously, Scribe and SIR tools were on different domains and were hosted on 2 different servers. However, this made it hard for people to access my tools. Anyone who came to scribe had no idea about Steem Income Report and anyone who came to Steem Income Report had no clue about Scribe.

This was clear to me when I had previously interacted with a few community leaders. So, I had decided to move all my tools under a single domain and make them more easily accessible.

With all my tools under a single subdomain, users can easily navigate between several of my tools without having to type in a new URL. One such example is that of Average Delegation and SIR. These two tools are often used side by side. The Average delegation gives the average delegation of users to a specific account between the set dates and the Income report can be used to get the correct breakdown of the rewards that a user earned between the set dates. So, it is easy for community leaders to access these two tools if they are available in a single place.

Apart from the changes made to the main app, there has been a lot of clean-up done on the original SIR tool itself. Thus making the code look a lot more cleaner and also better optimized than before. This has been a task that I had been pushing forward for several weeks now. Finally, I got the time needed to finish the job.

What next?

The next major upgrade would be the addition WEMA standard (introduced by @sapwood) to Steemcryptic. Currently, this is being done manually. However, this repetitive task can be automated with a BOT and calculation logic. The bare minimum bot required to collect this data has already been deployed earlier today. However, I still need to design the calculation logic and need to make it a generic tool so that other communities who wish to use WEMA can also benefit from this.

PS: The old subdomains i.e. https://sir.steemcryptic.me and https://scribe.steemcryptic.me will also point to the same website. So, you can use any of the 3 URLs to access the tools that I have built.

These are all the updates that I have for this week. I will be back over the weekend when I make the next update to the website.

That's great. I am sure this will herald objectively reporting the engagement & activities of a user. It will also make things more organized & scalable for community leaders.

Thanks a ton for the wonderful contribution to this ecosystem.

Steem on.
