Some Random Thoughts today from my Conversations

in Best of India3 years ago (edited)

Sometimes some conversations that you make with people, brings aspects of life to notice which you yourself may be struggling with. Today morning my niece from India called up and she mentioned that she wanted to discuss certain things, well we started with our conversation, and it was all around the stuck up energy that many people are feeling right now.

I was explaining to her that we do have phases in life where sometimes we feel it's a lull period, things are not moving and we feel like we are stuck up, but then those are the real moments of reflection and rejuvenation, and one should not get bogged down. I always believe that everything happens in it's divine timing and we should not race against time all the time. We all have aspirations and want things to move quickly, but the Universe has its own ways to slow our pace down or to increase our pace. That again does not mean that one does not do anything or over does it and then says, it's the way of the Universe. But getting bogged down takes away the energy. Life is not a race, that we need to keep running every day, there are some days where we just need to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

She is 25 now, and she is concerned that things are not moving as per her expectations, and that her friends are already into things from where they can generate good income for themselves, and that she is still not able to move ahead much. The thing is that she is studying Hypnotherapy and Healing and that is going at a slow pace, so she feels concerned. But the real thing is that these types of studies and practice takes time compared to the conventional career lines. We had a good 1+ hour discussion and I tried to make her understand that while what she wants is not progressing at its speed, there are many other areas to look at where she can do similar things and make a difference. Like making her own videos and giving basic solutions to people around healing, managing the current stress, progressing towards a healthy lifestyle and talks which will motivate people and make a difference in their lives.

The most important thing of this conversation was, there was some reflection for my own-self while I was talking to her. I mentioned to her about the race against the time, and I was feeling somewhere I am also in that game right now. I have taken up multiple jobs in the last 5 months and completely with hands full or even I can say overflowing, I am working on all of them. So am I trying to run too fast then what I should be doing. Yes, to be honest, I feel I am doing that, and it has been running in my mind lately that I need to shed some load off my shoulders to be at peace.
I am doing things that I do not enjoy much right now and I have pushed aside things that I really enjoy doing for the very reason that I wanted to collect some finances for a project. I am almost done with it, and I have achieved my set target, so now it is time for me to end some part of the work. I cannot do it overnight, so my plan is to complete the HR projects that I have taken up by the end of July and then completely close that part of it forever.
The healing work that I enjoy doing the most has taken a back seat in the last 5 months, and I have not been able to give as much time as I would like to. Not that it has completely stopped, it has reduced to an extent and I would like to get back to it soon.

There are choices that we make based on certain situations in life, but the whole point is that, life will keep throwing all of this to us, some very dull times, so super energetic times, and all that will matter is our energy to deal with these times. If the energy is balanced all these situations can be well managed.

I have asked my niece to get into a regular yoga and meditation practice to bring back the balance. She is a very sensible girl and matured too for her age. She knows it all, but as I said, sometimes we need a nudge to shake up and get back on track. In today's time when everyone is in the race against time, a person who can slow down and enjoy the surroundings, I feel is a much more evolved person then the one who is in continuous pursuit of moving up in life.

I hope my conversation with her will make some difference and she will be out of this lower frequency zone soon.

A small note from her after our conversation, this makes me believe that the conversation was useful

It is funny how we get sucked into the day-to-day activities where we lose sense of the bigger picture. When we look back, the things that troubled us makes no sense at all. I have noticed this in my own experience that when you look at things from an outsider's perspective, many problems become clear and you can actually gauge the progress you've made. It becomes essential to take a break and pace yourself. Convey our best wishes to your niece and looks like she has got just the right person to guide her through.

It's a good thought. Even i am stuck in the same situation in my career. I start understanding that nothing will happen suddenly when we want. We need to work with a future perspective and with some thought about the lovable people around us. Everyone wants relaxation do we done some work to earn it or not is the question.

I don't know what happened between the two of you. But, I have experienced very well that there comes a time when someone needs such an experienced person and he can explain it to us.
You gave an example of this. The way you explained to this girl and and the answer she gave you on whatsapp makes it seem like her problem is gone now.
In the same way, always make him fearless.
