Better Life With Steem | The Diary Game | 22/05/2021 | On a Cleaning Spree today
Yesterday was bit of a lazy day as I mentioned in my yesterday's blog, but then equally today it has been one very energetic charged up day. I woke up by 04:30 a.m. which is not common for me, unless I have to do Healings or Tarot Readings, but for that I need to put my alarm. Today was a wake up without the alarm. Nothing was planned, but there were few Tarot Readings pending I decided to complete them, since I was already up. I love the energy of this time, it is very peaceful and receptive. Watching the morning Sun rising gives power for the day, there is no doubt in it, I wish I could set this schedule daily for myself, but then for sure with the amount of work load during the day, this type of schedule would drain me out by early evening time. After finishing my Yoga, Meditation, Prayers, Readings it was around 7. With all of this I was feeling energetic too, but then I thought of taking a short nap, else by mid day I would feel sleepy, and I absolutely avoid sleeping in the afternoon time.
Today has been just a homely day with household chores, with the most important being cleaning up our Fish Tank. It was a to do action since last many days and my hubby was avoiding it. Today I just pushed him to take it up, since the tank had become very dirty and it was making me feel restless looking at the dirty tank.
He has been avoiding since it's quite a task, but then once in 3 to 4 months it is required that we clean up the whole tank, along with even cleaning up the gravel.
After cleaning the tank, it finally looks all clean and nice.
It's a small tank but I still feel it's a tedious process and it took us almost 2 and half hours to clean up the whole tank.
You just can not remove all the water and fill up new water in the cleaning process, else the fish will die.
You need to remove half of the already existing water of the tank first along with the fish and keep it aside and then do the cleaning process.
So first we let the water in the tank settle down completely by switching off the filter machine. Once the water was settled, then removes around 2 buckets of water along with the fish and kept it aside. As I mentioned in the cleaning up process, need to be careful with the water replacement, some of the old water need to be there.
Once the fish was safely removed, then I started with cleaning up the gravel at the bottom of the talk. There was moss accumulated and it had become very dirty. I had to remove all of it and then clean it up all in running water.
Now it's clean, after thorough washing.
The filter sponge also had to be removed and cleaned up.
After removing all the water and cleaning up the tank completely, then we again started pouring in fresh water into the tank and set up the gravel again at the bottom. Once half the tank was filled up with water then we poured in the 2 buckets of old water that we had kept aside along with the fish, and then again filled up the remaining tank with another fresh water.
And finally it was all done. My tank was sparkling once again.
The before and after effect
The fish in my tank is Flowerhorn Fish. It's a very beautiful and a unique fish with a hump on it's head, and as it grows the hump gets bigger and the colors also brighten up.
At my home in India, we had one Flowerhorn with shades of pink and red, and it was the most gorgeous fish that I had seen.
We wanted to get a similar colored one again but could not get this color and the one we got has blue tinge on silver. I am not sure but I guess as it will grow the blue will come out stronger.
Anyways after all the cleaning and clearing, I had to get back to some office work and complete that as well. So though it is a holiday it has been a packed day with something or the other back to back. Now I am going to relax for sometime and then go out for my walk.
See you all tomorrow with happy faces.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
