May is fiat free month where people are being challenged to find creative solutions to pay bills and live their life as they normally would without using fiat currency. Joel Valenzuela aka TheDesertLynx shares with us how he’s been living fiat free since 2016.
He shares with us the many methods and processes he takes to be able to spend, pay bills, transact, and everything you need to be completely fiat free and bankless. The idea behind it is that he wants permissionless and privacy-focused solutions. He hopes to show people with his example that this is completely possible and doable.

As much as I would like to live and transact entirely on crypto, sadly this is not possible here in Malaysia. There are zero crypto debit cards that I can order, and no merchants around me accept them. There are several listings on merchant maps, but they are not reputable so I doubt the merchants (which are located far from where I live) still accept them today.
So the only thing I can spend crypto on are virtual products (VPNs etc)
Did you catch the part where he said there are websites you can check out that convert crypto into gift cards
Too bad no one sells gift cards for crypto that is valid for use in my area :\
