Recently, about a week or there about,i posted something regarding Jatropha spp, it is a plant i grew up to know but during the time of growth, i heard a wrong mindset about the plant and recently have been so in-love with the plant. The plant is so full of benefits and in my recent post, i highlighted some of the benefits which i would like you to go see for yourself. The plant has several names, the plant is called Ugu Jerusalem, the Yorubas call it by Efo Iyana-Ipaja, the Igbos call it Ugu-Oyinbo, and the pidgin English is "Hospital too far". It scientific name is Jatropha tajorensis.
Whenever the plant is use as a source of vegetable in doing the cooking, i so much love it and recently, the plant is a form of defense for me, most times when my younger ones are trying to run after me, i usually run under the plant and when they attempt to come closer, i remind them of some of things they may expose themselves to in terms like hitching of the skin which we result to rashes and somethings wounds as a result of continuous hitching of the skin.
The plant has it nickname as "Hospital too far" which variably means immediate solution to emergence regarding health-wise.

I didn't know Jatropha was good vegetables nor that it had these amazing medicinal properties.
Can you tell us the kind of vegetable soup you cook with it as well as how its used to solve certain ailments.
we use it to cook a lot of delicacy such as Egusi soup(melon soup), it can also be use along side with water leave to cook vegetable soup, we also use it in cooking yam porridge.
it health benefits is numerous, we fetch some fresh ones and squeeze out the water and drink, the water serve as antibiotic and also immune booster. the squeezed leaves can also be apply on any skin having infection. i also highlighted some of it benefits on my wall.
