Hello everyone, It's a great privilege for me to be here once again relating with you all through the steemit engagement challenge contest. It's week3 already and today it's the time for me to participate in the contest organized by this great community on the topic “Are people made or born"

Every human living on this earth was born. And what makes everyone special is their uniqueness and how they manage and make use of the talent God gave them. What we do with the gift determines how special and different we are from others. Although God created everyone equal and each person is special in his or her way.

Talent can be described as the ability to innovate and produce something unique due to the passion one has for a particular field, talents are of different kinds and varieties, they can be learned and gradually natured to perfection and can be inborn which is natural.

Talent is a gift given to us by our creator but it is left for us to discover the talent and work on it. Some examples of talent are;

Inborn talent exists from the day one is born, it is natural or instinctive that someone may have an inborn talent for music, drawing, and drama without anyone teaching him or her how to go about it. Natural talented individuals are said to be genius as they portray a kind of ability other normal people could not have had, most of these natural born individuals tend to be quiet and also don't usually interact with much people because they are been tagged as (nerds)

They try to showcase their ability by some experiment or in a calculative way as their intelligence quotient is very high in reasoning also they know how to make things work by figuring it out before it's been told how they did. Most often than known people with inborn talent do things or carry out the task more easily because the gift is already in them.

The self-learned talent is always difficult because one has to put in more energy just to learn a particular skill or to carry out a particular task. Stating an example with a football player who learned how to play by going into a football academy to study how it's been done and at a point, he begins to adapt to certain changes due to rigorous training been had to bring perfection and after that, he might be screened to play for a particular football club if chosen.

As I said earlier, some talents are just natural while some are being learned. I will be given an illustration of my talent. I have natural talent which is singing, I started singing when I was a child. This gift was given to me by my creators which is an inborn talent. And when I discovered it, I tried to develop it to some extent.

I also have self-learned talent which is cooking and baking, I have much passion for the skill to the extent I have to enroll myself in different culinary schools just to acquire the knowledge and now I'm doing well in it.

Look at the things you love doing the most: ooh yes this will go a long way for you to identify your hidden talent. what are those things you love doing with passion, is it cooking like mine, because when I discovered that I'm so passionate about cooking I tried my best to see that I work it.

Look back on your past: What are those things that you enjoy doing when you were a child, if you can reflect on the things you do when you were a child then identifying your talent will not be hard because our childhood memories play an important role on the things we want and that which we don't want.

Ask people around you: Sometimes there are some talents we have but because we don't give them attention we won't notice them but the people who are around us can easily identify that particular talent. So we should always ask people around us and I'm very sure they will say one or two things they noticed about us.

As I mentioned earlier, I have two prominent talent which is singing and cooking. Whenever I'm depressed or stressed out, the only thing that makes me full filed is when I open my mouth to sing, this talent of singing started when I was a child, immediately I discovered it I try to develop it.

Cooking also makes me happy, whenever I'm in the kitchen I don't think of anything, but how to make my meal taste good. I started cooking when I was a child and I learned it from my mother. To improve my cooking and baking skills i was enrolled in baking school for training after which I went to the culinary school learn more about different dishes.

In conclusion, talent is a gift from God, But what matters the most is what we do with the talent given to us because when we have a talent and yet we did not work on it, is as good as we don't have any.
