The #Club5050 Rush
Steem greetings,
I have witnessed a sudden surge in mini power-ups and trending use of #club5050 tag by Cameroonian Steemians as well as Steemians around the globe in a bid to attract @steemcurator1 support.
It’s true every power-up matters but it’s good to be wise when you make power-ups which is why I am calling on you all to please calm down coz the #club5050 rush has suddenly become a mad rush.
A lot of you steemians are doing the right thing the wrong way and expecting Steemit Team’s support meanwhile a few are misappropriating the #club5050 tag. This is devaluing this valuable tag that was meant to reach out to all Steemians around the globe hence, a major call for concern.
The first step to doing it the right thing and the right way is to read and understand the idea behind #club5050.
I have realized most people don't even understand the idea of this initiative which is why I am asking all Steemians to kindly visit @steemitblog and read more about #Club5050
When you read and understand, the next thing to do is to ask yourself the question: How can I publish a #club5050 post that will attract the Steemit Team’s attention or draw public attention towards my blog? When can I publish such a post?
If you all have been reading, then you will understand that Steemit Team is bent on comparing your weekly post payout with your power up i.e. your weekly post payout must be equivalent or more than your power up before you can benefit from a #Club5050 upvote.
Secondly, you would have known that #SPUD4STEEM is just a few days away, and in @steemitblog’s most recent outing, they mentioned SPUD4STEEM, meaning it’s a perfect moment to showcase your work. Why the mad rush?
As such, I am proposing that you make good use of the November 01 #SPUD4STEEM and do some gigantic power-ups.
Finally, I want to leave you to think about this: Which is better and draws more public attention?
Ten power-ups of 25 Steemor 1 power-up of 250 Steem?
Personally, i think the headline of 250 Steem powerup will draw more public attention than 5 or 10 headlines of a 50 or 25 Steem power-up, as the case for most Steemians powering up now.
My advice is that we should all calm down, do the right thing at the right time, and do it 'bigly'. Let's make sure we never use the #club5050 tag if we haven't done a power-up.
