How to climb the Steemit Ladder and become a successful and reputable Steemian

Part 1.jpeg

I started to write some tips about how to become a successful Steemian via @mr-greens: I restarting these amazing tips via @thegreens since its my Country Representative account and my goal is to reach out to every steemian

When I first joined Steemit, it was very challenging. There were almost no contests in which one could participate in and earn quick and juicy rewards nor was there any Steemit Support Program.
Communities existed but there weren't as vibrant as communities today. The Diary Game nor Steemit Community Support program didn't exist. There were not soo many tutorials for newbies just like we have Notice Board for New Users nor the Steemit Crypto Academy.
However, Steemit had something that was unique and completely different from other social networking platforms: It had amazing and very supportive people. Unlike other social networking platforms, Steemians share a very strong and deep connection that is tailored towards knowing and supporting each other.
It's via Steemit that I have been able to meet the most amazing people of my life such as @pennsif, @dynamicgreentk, @chrisaiki, @eco-alex, @likedeeler, @candian-coconut, @nainaztengra, @artemislives, and so many more amazing people.

Steemit gave me the platform to experience unity in diversity and that's why i have always said "Steemit is a social networking platform that fosters globalization and global citizenship"

Going back to how I excelled on Steemit, I think I need to give credit to steemians for being open in terms of communication and supportive in terms of upvotes, genuine feedback and constructive criticsms.

Steemit today offers a lot of opportunities for newbies to earn. There is #thediarygame and hundreds of contests with juicy rewards running on Steemit. Steemians like @pennsif have even made the search for contests easy whereas @steemitblog is there to update Steemians with Steemit opportunities and updates from Steem. There are mentorship programs and alot of resources that have been put together by Steemians such as @cryptokannon to make steeming easy. These are amazing resources, opportunities and people who are here for you.

However, I want to share my personal experience of how a Steemit newbie can rapidly climb the Steem ladder and become a very successful Steemian in terms of following and earnings. I currently have 10 tips on how Steemians can become successful and I will share themin three different blog posts. Today we shall talk about read, learn and ask questions.

1. Read it.

They say "if you know better you will do better."
One way of knowing better is by reading. If you want to be a successful Steemian, you must learn to always read. Develop a culture of reading. Some of the wealthiest people in the planet have said wealth is in books and testified that they read a lot to become who they are. There are enough Steemit resources in the Newcomers community, @steemitblog and on the blogs of steemians such as @pennsif, @focusnow, @randulakoralage, etc.
When you have doubts, steem-it or Google search for answers.
Pick up books and read because it's not just about reading Steemit related stuff. Read as much as you can focusing more on what you are passionate about. Through reading, you will be able to develop amazing and creative ideas, hence be full of meaningful content to share always.

2. Learn it.

They say, "stop learning and start dying".
If you want your steemit future to start to dwindle, stop learning about Steemit. Everyday new opportunities arise and @steemitblog is always there to update us. Some of the most recent updates are about how to use the Steem/Steemit logo as can be read on @stephenkendal's blog: https://steemit.com/promo-steem/@stephenkendal/how-to-use-the-steemit-logo-on-steem-promotional-t-shirts and the new Steemit editor as I read from @pennsif's blog: https://steemit.com/steem/@pennsif/the-steem-news-16-april-2021-more-country-reps-and-a-brand-new-editor

The Steemit Crypto Academy has been made available for Steemians to learn meanwhile the Steemit Beginners’ Achievement Task program was created so that newbies can learn more about Steemit.
Unfortunately, most newbies and steemians rush over these learning programs.

I prefer that if you are too busy to take a learning program, wait until you have enough time to take that program so that when you want to take the program, you will have enough time to effectively understand the program.

There are so many steemians and communities on Steemit that are offering huge educational resources and programs for Steemians to learn. Learning isn't limited to just Steemit because there are a lot of DApps such as D.Tube, Actifit, etc. associated with Steem that Steemians need to learn about.

Also, learning isn't limited to these DApps.
Steemians should develop the culture of taking free online courses that can help them to steem better. They could take courses in Graphic designing, video editing, creative writing, Arts, etc.
There are a lot free online courses that I recommend that Steemians should take
Examples of free online course sites include, Alison, Coursera, etc

3. Ask Questions

Whenever you read it and learn it, and still have worries or doubts, feel free to ask questions. Steemit offers a platform where there is freedom of expression. I used to ask alot of questions on Steemit and every time I asked questions, I got really good answers. You can also ask questions on Discord and in the communities in which you belong.

I will like to stop at these three tips for today. In a few days, we will talk about;

  • Comments VS Upvotes
  • Follow your passion
  • Original and creative writing
  • Consistency
  • Set your Steemit objectives
  • Be patient
  • Contests
  • Recruitment

Reading is very important here. People need to carefully need and analyze other's good an valuable articles to know how to prepare a good article. Most of them don't even looking at or voting on others's content but expect attention back.

If they read well, they are able to write well. And never miss new updates.

Steemit is a large subject. New things are comming. Also we have old things to catchup. I love to read comments of old members (2017/2018) which contains so many knowledge about steem..

Very useful article 😌
