FLASHBACK: Amanda is shown meeting with her client for the first time in prison. He tells her his story and she is moved by his innocence.
AMANDA: (Voiceover) I took on this case with the intention of proving his innocence, but as I delved deeper, I realized that the justice system is not as fair as I once believed.
FLASHBACK: Amanda is shown uncovering evidence of bribery and corruption within the police force and the court system. She faces obstacles and threats but continues her investigation anyway.
